Our Programme

Little Lamb -Toddlers

Experiential Learning has been considered by experts as one of the most interesting, engaging, and effective ways to acquire new concepts. At MYWORLD, our programme focuses on the use of Experiential Learning as the main approach for infants and toddlers, enabling them to develop and learn through their own reflections and experiences. Children are encouraged to be expressive mini-explorers as they navigate their way through our beautifully-crafted learning spaces, discover how to play with classic toys, musical instruments, and textural materials.

Our Experiential Learning framework comprises the following 5 Learning Domains to ensure your child has fun learning in a safe and nurturing environment:

  • Self-Exploration
  • Music & Stories
  • Muscle Development
  • Thematic Discovery
  • Multi-Sensory Experience
These developmental outcomes are achieved through our signature programs infused into daily schedules for infants: Little Explorer, Music Stimulation, Muscle Master, First Touch, and Colourful World.

Self Exploration

Children are natural little explorers, they are always curious and fascinated by the world around them. At MyWrld, we construct the learning environment and experiences to cater to their needs. During Little Explorer time every morning, infants and toddlers are given different materials to arouse their curiosity and encourage their free exploration. Observations are then made on each child’s interest and response to the stimuli, which subsequently informs how we choose to tailor their next learning adventure!

Music and Stories

Infants and toddlers love rhythms and music. Whenever they hear a catchy tune during Music Stimulation time, their faces light up, their little bodies would move to the beat, some may even attempt to hum along! Various studies show that music has a positive impact on children’s creativity, spatial intelligence, emotional growth, and cognitive development. Since music helps to spark connections in the brain, we provide different genres of music for our infants to create a variety of atmospheres and moods in the environment to stimulate your child’s growth and foster their creative minds from an early age.
Besides musical stimulation, infants are exposed to a world of nursery rhymes, poems and stories through Rhymes & Stories. Animated songs and story-telling sessions capture your little one’s attention and stimulate speech development. From cooing and babbling, to saying their first word, we help your child quickly build language foundations early.

Bouncy Bears - Pre Nursery/ Play Group

Many toddlers at this age may be nervous about being away from parents in their “first school experience”. Our Pre-Nursery teachers recognize the importance of relationship building and the need to provide a sense of security. We aid parents in this home-to-school transition by providing practical tips to ease your child’s separation anxiety. Close bonding activities and daily routines will help provide your child with a sense of stability and belonging, making MYWORLD a home away from home.
Starting from 18 months, we offer a bilingual learning environment with English as the main language. MYWORLD teaching pedagogy from Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten is based on our award-winning proprietary iDevelop / iExplore / iLearn / iExperience preschool curriculum model that provides each child with a comprehensive and holistic education that instills core skills, knowledge, and intelligent thinking habits.
iDevelop– Develops intelligent thinking and behavioral dispositions through the established Habits of Mind™ framework, also adopted by Singapore’s Ministry of Education under its Gifted Education Programme, top Primary and Secondary schools, as well as many other leading educational institutions around the world.
iExplore – Nurtures the child’s interests and views to encourage self-directed learning through Reggio-inspired Project Inquiry that promotes exploration and discovery. The children become little scientific explorers as they engage in scientific research and experiments, conduct analysis of findings, and finally present their project findings to their class and parents!
iLearn – Enables the child to acquire domain knowledge through our signature Literacy and Numeracy programmes, as well as the range of S.T.E.A.M. enrichment programmes. Our signature programmes such as Literacy Fun™, Chinese Master™ and Math Quest™ help children develop strong literacy and mathematical skills and gain an impressive vocabulary of more than 4,500 English words by the age of 6.
iExperience – When children find themselves in environments that are aesthetically beautiful, soothing, full of wonder and discovery, they feel intrigued and eager to learn more. Our Reggio-inspired learning spaces feature beautiful and functional zones such as the Construction Piazza, Light Atelier, Discovery Cove, and Imaginary Playscape, which serve to provide the children with a sensorial experience while stimulating their creativity and promoting divergent thinking.
In summary, our Pre-Nursery and Playgroup programmes emphasize child-initiated learning, empowering our young to explore and experience the world around them. Teachers plan and integrate language experiences, numeracy, music and movement, aesthetics and creativity, motor skills, and social interactions through activities like circle time, puppet play, sensory art, and imaginary play. Physical development of gross motor skills and fine motor skills are achieved through play-based activities that concurrently allow your child to form close bonds with their friends. The knowledge and skills gained provide solid foundations for your child to progress on to the Nursery and Kindergarten years.

Tenderhearts - Nursery

The move from Pre-Nursery to Nursery 1 is an exciting time. Your child can express thoughts through words or exhibit emotions in many ways. You will be amazed at how quickly your child can pick up words, phrases, songs, and rhymes from teachers and friends. We make sure that our Nursery 1 programs provide a range of activities as endless as your child’s imagination.
Adopting the A-S-K framework, our programs include the building of creativity, language skills, and concept knowledge alongside character and attitudes. Activities like construction and block-building, painting and drawing, outdoor and indoor gross motor play are coupled with dramatic play and dress-ups, puzzles, music, movement, singing, and drama. Games, reading, and story-telling also aid to promote social interactions and relationship skills development.
Through daily routines, direct teaching, animation stories, situational practices, games, and crafts, we imbue in our children effective and positive attitudes toward problem solving and self-regulation. We equip them with leadership skills, to be observant, creative, quick thinking, adaptable, and resilient. These become cornerstones of their character growth and valuable assets to our children in their lifelong learning journey in a volatile global environment. Our Nursery 2 program provides opportunities for children to expand their repository of knowledge, cultivate their strengths and interests, and build rock-solid academic foundations. Children embark on a structured 3 year UK phonics program (Rigby Star Phonics) to help them acquire skills to blend and decode words in their early reading adventures. Children complete all the letter sounds in Nursery 2 before progressing to digraphs and trigraphs subsequently. Children also learn more about writing, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension. They further build their Numeracy concepts and number sense through games and activities that build their passion for learning. In Nursery 2, we step up a notch with our Reggio Emilia inspired project inquiry approach. While this component was introduced to our Pre-Nursery and Nursery 1 children, they were guided a lot by teachers, and the topics revolved around their everyday encounters.
At Nursery 2 however, children are now able to fully experience the benefits of the project inquiry approach. They are given more autonomy to choose topics of their interest. They are actively engaged in class discussions, group work, and supported by their teachers to explore and find answers to their questions. Field trips, interviews, and experiments pertaining to individual projects are arranged to allow children to be fully engaged in their project investigation.

Shining Stars - Kindergarten

At Kindergarten, we focus on building confidence, self-esteem, and strengthening the academic foundation through the A-S-K framework.
A (Attitude) – Children acquire positive leaning attitudes and problem-solving skills. They learn to be team players and know how to regulate their emotions positively when facing difficulty or failure. They learn how to think flexibly, evaluate options, and be persistent in pursuing their goals.
S (Skills) – Kindergarten children are keen learners and always like to ask questions. Through the project inquiry investigations, they will hone scientific skills such as predicting, observing, estimating, measuring, comparing, and fact-finding. During the course of the investigation, they will not be given answers or solutions right away but instead will be guided to go through the thinking, questioning and data collecting process to find answers for themselves, and evaluate their own successes or failures.
K (Knowledge) – We strengthen academic fundamentals by exposing children to the necessary concepts and knowledge they will eventually need in Primary 1. Beyond exposure to basic language mastery and key mathematical concepts, we offer a variety of in-curriculum alongside optional enrichment programs. Our in-curriculum programs encompass programs like English Speech and Drama, Science Alive, Busy Baker, Arty Crafty, Life Skills, among others. We also offer optional programs like Mind Mapping, Creative Arts, Creative Writing, etc. All these programs give our children ample opportunities to find out their strengths and passions while having fun!
Kindergarten children are our graduating stars. Our Kindergarten program provides curriculum materials and experiences that put the finishing touches to a young MYWORLD Stars preschool journey. Armed with years of guidance and knowledge gathering, our children are now academically ready, confident, courteous, sociable, and with a positive attitude towards learning and life.
At the end of Kindergarten, our children have completed their language and numeracy training, amassing a good range of skills and knowledge to prepare them for Primary School. They have amassed a good range of vocabulary, are able to read story books, write, and speak in complete sentences to express their thoughts and feelings. They are also confident enough to speak in front of the class and actively contribute ideas during group discussions. They are knowledgeable, especially in topics related to the projects which they had done in-depth study and exploration in – enjoying the fruits of their labor. They know how and where to find information to satisfy their curiosity and how to make observations or draw conclusions from their findings. They have acquired ways to ask questions, solve problems, think out of the box, and work as a team.
They have been exposed to and lived the Habits of Mind. This is reflected in their character or thinking habits. For example, they have good self-esteem, they have a positive self-image, they are thoughtful, they love learning and they have good self-control. These dispositions will stay with them for life.
